The working principle of this product is that the air containing harmful substances is filtered through the mask and then inhaled or exhaled by everyone. The filtering mechanism of mask filter material mainly includes:
(1) Diffusion deposition: The Brownian motion diffusion of particles moves to the filter fiber and is adsorbed by molecular gravity. It is the most easy to capture small scale particles, fine fibers and particles with low motion.
(2) Interception deposition: the larger particles moving with the airflow are trapped by the mechanical screening of the filter material, and the ratio of particle diameter to filter membrane fiber diameter affects the interception efficiency.
(3) Inertial deposition: when particles pass through the curved mesh channel of the filter material, they break away from the airflow and collide with the filter fiber due to inertial action, and are trapped by molecular gravity. Large particles, high density and high speed have good interception effect.
(4) Electrostatic attraction deposition: the deposition of the product caused by electrostatic interaction of the filtered fiber with particles.
The smaller the particles are, the better the diffusion deposition and electrostatic attraction deposition are, and the larger the particles are, the better the interception deposition and inertia deposition are. So it's not that the smaller the particle, the harder it is to filter. Combined with the synergistic effect of the four filtration mechanisms, the most permeable particle size range of ordinary mechanical filtration materials was 0.1um-0.3um.
